Distinguished Global Citizen Festival

The Festival Brings Together Distinguished Global Citizen Educators, Leaders, Citizens and Students

The Distinguished Global Citizen Festival is meant to honor Distinguished Global Citizens, and to give them a venue to educate emerging global leaders, citizens, and students.

The Festival is:

  • Inclusive of the Global Citizen Education Network, the Global Citizenship Education Network, and United Nations Academic Impact, which co-organize the event annually
  • 3 days long, including activities to honor Global Leaders as Distinguished Global Citizens, to share ideas and initiatives to promote global citizen initiatives, values, and experiences in practices of global citizenship education
  • Especially welcoming to Global Citizenship Educators, who will speak in large and small groups at the Festival, on pedagogy as well as peace, development, and sustainability
  • A venue for announcing¬†awards and honors of global citizens
  • Host to¬†a distinguished lecture for global citizens by a distinguished global citizenship educator
  • Welcoming to leaders of nations, businesses, and academia, as well as to innovators and artists
  • Attendable both virtually and in person; a likely venue for the next Festival is in Nha Trang city, with a live webcast for global citizens from around the world
